Since 2017, the Canada Sport & Entertainment Expo is a one-day in-person event connecting key decision-makers from Member of the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) with the sport business community.
Vendors will showcase the latest products and services to help sport decision-makers with programs, services and facilities to ultimately serve their organization’s stakeholders. Our host venue is Woodbine Entertainment Group (WEG). WEG, known as the Ontario Jockey Club from 1881 to 2001, is the operator of two horse racing tracks, a casino and off-track betting stations in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. It also owns and operates the Canadian digital television service HPItv and operates Canada's only online wagering platform for horse racing, HorsePlayer Interactive. WEG is responsible for operating Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, and it also runs Woodbine Mohawk Park in Campbellsville, Ontario. It employs over 2,300 people in its operations.
The Catapult Esports Business Case Competition is the first national competition in Canada focused entirely on the business of esports. Open to all post-secondary college and university students across Canada, this is your chance to take on a real-world challenge from an organization working directly at the intersection of esports, health, and youth engagement. Teams from across Canada are invited to solve a real-world business problem and pitch their solution live during the conference.
All teams will compete in a digital preliminary round, with the top three advancing to pitch their solution live during the Catapult Sport Esport Career Conference at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto. Finalist teams can present either in person or virtually, making this a fully accessible national platform for rising talent.

Full refunds are available 60 days out of the Conference date and/or start of the first webinar. No refunds are given once you have attended a webinar or the Conference.

Yes, we do offer lunch on the day of the event and refreshments for paid admissions. Please check the agenda for times and availability.
The dress code at our events is business casual for all participants. You may need a jacket when outside during races.
There will be multiple breaks during the Conference for refreshments and networking, as well as The Woodbine Fan Experience including live races at the end of the day.
Introducing Canada’s First Esports Business Case Competition at the Catapult Advantage Sport/Esport Career Conference @ Woodbine Entertainment! Brought to you by Mohawk College Esports Administration this asynchronous competition is open to all college and university students in Canada. Entry Fee is $300/team.
